Vision of Hope’s focus is to teach adults with disabilities the skills needed to attain independence. It is our objective to provide employment services, but also provide services that enhance career opportunities and ultimately independence. JUMP Start – Jobs Unique to My Potential, delivers basic computer skills needed to develop a career plan for success, interview skill techniques and practice, and all aspects of finding and maintaining a job. Through person-centered planning, a resume is developed that is specific to the type of work being pursued. We provide supports to job seekers that include pre-placement training, on-the-job work experiences and the level of employment supports needed for each job seeker to find meaningful employment and keep it. Our employment class meets every Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Here, job seekers learn how to determine the type of jobs that fit their abilities, how to research jobs and contact potential employers both online and in-person, and how to sell themselves to others by communicating their strengths.  All pre-placement training is provided in this class. We also provide supported employment services, including on- the-job training work experiences in the community. The provision of community-based day supports gives your loved one the opportunity to participate in activities that will put them on a path to employment. Below is a list of some of the community-based support services Vision of Hope provides:
